Temporary Remediation Analyst (Bahamas)

The Temporary Remediation Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting a targeted client review remediation project, by conducting in-depth periodic reviews of client files to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies and Know Your Customer (KYC) standards. The role focuses on identifying gaps ensuring completeness and accuracy of client documentation, and supporting timely remediation of any deficiencies for the RF Bank & Trust (Bahamas) Limited (“RF Bahamas”/The Bank”).


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute remediation-focused reviews of backlogged client files, prioritized base on regulatory risk, client risk rating and aging, to align with regulatory expectations and internal remediation plans;
  • Perform detailed assessments of legacy client documentation to validate compliance with KYC, Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) requirements, ensuring deficiencies arising from historical gaps are identified and addressed;
  • Proactively identify incomplete, obsolete or inconsistent information with backlogged client records and document all findings in line with established remediation standards;
  • Initiate, coordinate and actively track remediation actions to address identified deficiencies within defined remediation timelines, ensuring prompt closure of outstanding issues;
  • Liaise with relationship managers and business units across the Bank, to obtain missing or updated documentation to remediate client files, escalating delays where necessary;
  • Reassess and update client risk classifications based on remediated information, changes in client activity, jurisdictional risk factors and regulatory expectations;
  • Maintain accurate and centralized records of reviews conducted, findings identified and remediation status;
  • Escalate high risk, or complex issues to Manager, Compliance & Money Laundering Reporting Officer, RF Bahamas, or AVP, Risk & Compliance as appropriate;
  • Monitor and report on remediation progress, highlighting overdue items to the Manager, Compliance & Money Laundering Reporting Officer, RF Bahamas, or AVP, Risk & Compliance;
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager, Compliance & Money Laundering Reporting Officer.


Requirements/ Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law or a related field;
    • 1-2 years’ experience in compliance, KYC/CDD reviews, onboarding, or client due diligence;
    • Familiarity with varying regulatory requirements in Bahamas, is an asset
    • Professional certifications (e.g ICA, CAMS) are an asset
