Trust Officer

Support day-to-day trust operations, regulatory filings, and fiduciary distributions while ensuring compliance and responsive client service.

The role of the Trust Officer is to provide functional support and conduct activities relative to the operation of the department, and Company.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for gathering and reviewing initial data, documents, and other information provided by the client
  • Respond to client queries in a timely and accurate manner
  • Prepare correspondence to beneficiaries and interested parties as needed
  • Company incorporation and establish Trusts with related regulatory filings
  • Ensures account is in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements relating to governing documents
  • Preparing fiduciary requests/distributions, monitoring and execution of instructions preparation of minutes and other ancillary documents related thereto
  • Compiling and assembling information, data input, spreadsheet support and output
  • Providing administrative support to individuals or departments regionally
  • Conduct regular account reviews to identify additional requirements and/or deficits.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Retain current industry trends, regulatory changes, and investment market dynamics
  • Preparing reports for Management
  • General administrative duties i.e.: Recording and file maintenance, mail distribution, answering telephones, writing memos, etc. as directed
  • Following established procedures, methods, and practices
  • Other duties as assigned by Department Manager.


Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2- 3 years’ work experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong adherence to professional standards and confidentiality
