The Trust & Safety Manager will report to the Head of Payments, Trust & Safety and be responsible for managing, maintaining and enhancing transaction monitoring alerts, frameworks, systems, controls and reporting. 

You will work closely with Product teams to drive, deliver and maintain the Trust & Safety strategy and solutions. 

The successful candidate will have a well-developed awareness of risk presented by different customer touch points during the customer journey. 

Key responsibilities will include:

• Manage VGW's Risk Management Platform in collaboration with other internal stakeholders
• Analyse fraud trends and implement detection strategies balancing fraud risk and customer friction
• Optimise existing detection strategies to ensure effectiveness and efficiency are maintained within expectations
• Identify opportunities to improve current control process and recommend enhancements to current policies and procedures
• Facilitate the delivery of cost-saving and optimisation initiatives

What you will bring to the role:

• 5+ years of financial crime, risk, fraud and integrity experience (strong domain experience within transaction monitoring, customer screening, enhanced customer due diligence, and quality assurance functions)
• Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in Information Systems, Business Analytics, or relevant discpline
• Strong communication skills including a process-oriented approach to working with business and technology teams
• Experience as a solid people leader
• Experience working with stakeholders from any/all of these areas: Payments, Trust & Safety, Compliance, AML, Legal, Customer Service and Data
• Experience working in a fast paced technology/digital business
