Venture Intern, Techstars Berlin Accelerator

In line with this vision, Techstars Berlin Accelerator is now entering a new growth phase. Our aim is to build the number one launchpad for European high-growth startups. Having hired a new managing director, we are on course to take the accelerator to the next level.
The role of Venture Intern is a key part of this journey, with a focus on scaling the accelerator. You will play a pivotal role in company sourcing, assessing startup applications for the program and preparing investment decisions. You will also help to execute the Techstars playbook to deliver the best possible program experience for founders, mentors, partners, investors and other stakeholders.
As a Venture Intern, you have the chance to broaden your network in ways you could never have imagined and receive exposure to some of the greatest early startup teams in Europe as they grow from early-stage to venture-backed companies.
What You Will Do:
- Provide support with sourcing, recruiting, evaluating and closing investments in target companies via direct outreach, diverse sourcing efforts, marketing events, referrals, and inbound accelerator applications
- Deliver in-depth analyses of target investment companies, including team and market assessment and financial modelling
- Support the delivery of content and workshops during our 13-week accelerator programs, ensuring the best possible accelerator experience for founders, mentors, partners, investors and other program stakeholders
- Support founders and provide them with the tools and analyses they need to succeed
- Ensure the program follows best practices and is carried out based on the content and curriculum outlined in the Techstars playbook
- Support the year-round logistics, operations, administration, scheduling, calendar management and event planning for the program

Travel for this role is minimal and typically requires annual travel to StaffCon (our company-wide annual offsite), a team-specific offsite, and providing support to the accelerator team with company sourcing when applicable and where appropriate for the program
What You Bring To The Role:
- You have an interest in a fast-paced environments with a focus on zero-to-one early-stage tech entrepreneurship, business operations, and/or project management
- You have initial work experience in a high-paced environment, preferably in a tech startup, a large-scale technology company, a consultancy or an investment bank
- You harbor a fierce drive to succeed. This is matched by your humility and a team-oriented attitude. Your verbal and written communication skills are razor sharp
- You take the initiative and are comfortable working in ambiguous/ unstructured environments
- You are a great organizer and project manager
- You are analytically oriented and make decisions based on data
- You have unlimited capacity for, and take enjoyment from, networking with people from all walks of life
- You have strong interest in the discourse surrounding technology, startups, entrepreneurship, and venture capital
