Lyft is hiring a VP to lead our Office of Finance Transformation team. This is a unique opportunity to lead a pan-finance transformation and strategy team focused on visioning, prioritization, implementation and achievement of large-scale strategic initiatives and operational excellence. These initiatives will transform the Finance organization, and Lyft, to enable and improve growth and efficiency.

The VP of the Office of Finance Transformation (OFT) provides enterprise-wide leadership to the Office of Finance Transformation team. This role is highly strategic, in helping create the vision and roadmap for the OFT, and in ensuring the consistent application of transformation best practices across a wide range of areas, including policies and procedures, process improvement, resourcing and location strategies, project prioritization, governance, and change management. This role will direct and synthesize transformation initiative deliverables, progress, interdependencies, and risks for the Finance team and senior leadership team across Lyft, ensuring timely, quality delivery of multiple projects.  

We are looking for a strong, inspiring and experienced team leader to help develop and grow our team, reimagine what’s possible in terms of Finance transformation and maturation, and build out scalable long term solutions for our complex and growing business. The successful candidate will work alongside senior leaders in Accounting, Tax, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, and Corporate Development to define and execute on our transformation roadmap, with the support of their direct reports on the Office of Finance Transformation team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Architect the future state of the finance team at Lyft, and define a roadmap to achieve that objective in alignment with Finance leadership.
  • Build a sustainable, trusted and transparent model for the new Office of Finance Transformation team as a partner within Finance, and across Lyft.
  • Deploy and operationalize the transformation governance model, standardized processes, process improvement toolkit and change management best practices across Lyft in collaboration and partnership with Finance leadership.
  • Partner with leaders across Accounting, FP&A, Treasury and other Finance functions to develop and lead a strong transformation mindset and a cohesive view of our Finance roadmap and initiatives. 
  • Proactively build business partner relationships outside of Finance including transformation business leaders and their transformation pillar leads to discuss risks and collaborate or gain buy-in on adjustments and action steps.
  • Lead, coach and develop a driven and passionate team of process, project leaders and managers.
  • Implement significant financial transformation initiatives including but not limited to large scale system implementations, RPA implementation, standard operating procedures, operationalizing M&A and new initiatives/products, scalable team resourcing models and high impact process improvement opportunities.
  • Partner cross-functionally at Lyft to drive the use of process improvement methodologies, tools and training to enhance business process improvement competencies and overall efficiencies.
  • Partner with Internal Audit, and other Compliance/Legal partners to track and monitor risk mitigation plans. 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience around process and systems implementation life cycles, with significant financial transformation experience. 
  • 10+ years of managing projects with 4+ team members in a dynamic environment.
  • 5+ years of ERP Financials, Procurement and / or Cloud ERP Implementation Experience.
  • Experienced in Process Improvement methodologies (Lean and/or Six Sigma Black Belt, or similar), Project Management methodologies, and leading organizational transformation practices.
  • Progressive experience leading teams, mentoring staff, evaluating performance, and providing performance feedback.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent from an accredited college/university; MBA from an accredited college/university and CPA or another advanced professional credential is preferred.
