Warehouse Shift Leader

The role 

We are looking for a dynamic & experienced Warehouse Shift Leader to join the Operations team at Zulzi. The key function of this role will be to manage the warehouse floor with a key focus on Quality Control (QC) , Receiving and Transfers. 

This role requires someone who is passionate about Warehousing and Supply Chain, has experience in QC or receiving, is excited by Start-up’s and has an unshakable can-do attitude to make sure the warehouse is run efficiently. 

Our ideal Warehouse Shift Leader candidate will be someone who takes initiative, is a self-starter who’s previous experience makes them confident that they can get the job done, is motivated, adaptable.

They are solution oriented, apply critical thinking to their work and always ask themselves “What can I do today to make things better.”  

Day-to-day Responsibilities 

Physical stock handling

• Manage receiving of new stock and distributing to other warehouses 
• Management of  warehouse floor e.g efficient and orderly organisation of stock.
• Manage the picking and packing of shelves 
• Ensuring the waybills and orders match up for a correct delivery

Systems and processes

• Manage QC team
• Always looking to optimise warehouse flows cost effectively
• Ability to work on Warehouse Management Systems (LightSpeed/Vend)
• You will be accountable for a daily transfers
• Management of warehouse QC & transfer teams to ensure timely delivery of replenishments to other stores

Inventory Management 

• Regular inspection and spot checking of stock
• Admin and paperwork relating to receiving and transfers
• Weekly checking of consumables in the warehouse and reordering thereof with consideration of set lead times
• Constantly looking to minimise costs
• Ensure clean and functional warehouse floor by ensuring shelves are stocked and  boxes are cleared and recycled.
