Strategic Account Executive

We’re looking for a commercially driven Strategic Account Executive to take ownership of our Information Intelligence business across New Zealand. A day in the role:

Take the lead in developing and executing your territory strategy, identifying priority accounts, uncovering new opportunities and building a strong pipeline across the public sector and beyond.

Drive opportunities from the first conversation through to negotiation and close. Understand customer challenges, position the right solutions and turn complex sales opportunities into successful outcomes.

Develop strong relationships with Microsoft, systems integrators, resellers and other channel partners. Work together to identify opportunities, develop joint account plans and unlock new routes to market.

Take commercial ownership of your accounts, strengthening executive relationships while driving renewals, retention, cross-selling and expansion. Identify where customers can gain more value from Objective's Information Intelligence solutions.

Collaborate with Pre-Sales, Product, Consulting Services and Customer Success to develop compelling solutions, navigate complex sales cycles and deliver outcomes that matter to customers.

Manage your pipeline, forecast accurately and maintain a clear view of your territory's opportunities, risks and priorities. You'll have the autonomy to drive your approach, backed by a collaborative team and established sales processes.

Your skills, experience and beyond:

A proven track record in enterprise software or SaaS sales, with experience winning new business and growing existing accounts.

The commercial mindset and confidence to own territory strategy, pipeline development and sales outcomes.

Experience building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, customers and channel partners.

Strong solution-selling, negotiation and discovery skills, with the ability to connect business challenges to meaningful technology outcomes.

Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and structured procurement processes.

A collaborative, self-driven approach, with the resilience to keep opportunities moving and the discipline to deliver results.

Experience selling into the New Zealand public sector or regulated industries is highly desirable.

Exposure to Microsoft alliance relationships and partner-led selling is a strong advantage.
