Administrative Assistant

$20 per hour

TLDR

Support three centers with scheduling, meeting logistics, document preparation, billing verification, mail, travel arrangements, and data entry.

Pitt Global is seeking a temporary administrative assistant to support the Global Studies Center, Center for Ethnic Studies Research, and Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies with general office support work. Duties include:

  • Scheduling meetings and managing calendars in coordination with others, providing logistical support during meetings and events.

  • Providing general information and appropriate answer inquiries from walk-ins, phone calls, and emails.

  • Preparing and editing various documents, including financial reports, presentation materials, and routine correspondence, using established guidelines and proper formatting.

  • Making minor purchases, collecting payments, and verifying billing information.

  • Performing and variety of clerical duties, including filing paperwork, distributing mail, assisting with travel arrangement, maintaining mailing lists, and data entry.

A high school degree or GED is required. Previous experience as an administrative assistant in higher education is preferred. An associate and/or bachelors degree would be accepted as a substitution for previous work experience.
