Administrative (Professional)

The Education Programs & Digital Narrative Assistant for the Nationality Rooms and Intercultural Exchange Programs (NRIEP) will primarily work to support the education programming, including special events.  The position will support the Manager, Education Programs, in the research for education programming.  The position will also use digital and graphic design to promote the program.  The position will facilitate regular guided tours of the Nationality and Heritage Rooms and for special groups and delegations. 

The Education Programs Assistant & Digital Narrative Assistant will have the following responsibilities during the position:

·         Be available to facilitate guided tours of the Nationality and Heritage Rooms as needed for both public visitors and private groups and participate in large education and cultural programs. 

·          Conduct archival and other research to support education programming. 

·         Create promotional materials and web content to promote the program. 

·         Other duties as assigned.

·         Professional demeanor, highly organized, detail-oriented and ability to work independently. 

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including communication with students and a variety of public audiences.

• Willingness to interpedently research and learn and document new information.
• Strong creative writing skills that can be integrated into digital narrative design. 

·         Strong computer and organizational skills.

·         Candidate must be present for some after hours and weekend events and be able to assist with pre-event set-up and post-event clean up. 

A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position and a Bachelor's degree is Preferred.
