Apple AV Engineer (Remote)

We're looking for you, an AV engineer, to help build Remotion's macOS native video call experience. You'll be joining our team of macOS experts, audio/video experts, designers, and full stack engineers from places like Google & Dropbox. We're looking for you because we're excited to create new collaborative video call experiences for a newly remote world.
Responsibilities
- Drive implementation of innovative audio and video experiences in the native macOS app
- Own the AV experience of Remotion, prioritizing and advocating for creating a robust best in class video calling experience
- Collaborate closely with the whole team: from macOS developers, to full stack, design, product and more
- Scale yourself by mentoring and assisting the rest of the team
You'll be successful in this role if you have...
- Experience in Apple app development in Swift (iOS, macOS, AppKit/UIKit)
- Ability to go across the tech stack and learn new technologies
- Experience working with AV Vendors like Agora or Twilio
- Experience working on AV Clients
- Desire to independently own results, including when it requires working with new people, tech, or tools
- Enthusiasm for helping remote teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bonus points for...
- AV experience in other platforms
- Experience working at a startup
- Realtime AV experience
- Experience troubleshooting issues directly with users.
