Assistant Manager, First Mile

Why we need you

Lead transportation team members at Milk run fleets to pick up Parcels from shippers in SLA and maintain designed systems to meet quality standards. Developed capability of Fleet team to serve business. Managed Fleets. Developed/ trained subordinates including drivers to be qualified to work under KPI at fleets.

What you will do

• To ensure the parcels at shipper can be pick-up on me, do not miss pick up and comply with SLA.
• To manage, operate and monitor day to day operations of on-demand pickup (ODP) services across Thailand and staff performance.
• Supervise the routing section to be always efficient and maximizing use of the space for parcel loading
• To manage and control subcontractors effectively.
• Make decisions and execution plans based on the data to improve operational efficiency such as turnaround time, truck utilization, quality or cost savings based on the operational KPIs. - Maintaining claims costs at budgeted numbers.
• To ensure the parcels loss & damage are below target
• Coach and develop team members.
• Lead for weekly and monthly meetings with ground staff. - Train and develop the skill of the team members.
• Lead problem-solving activities. Be the go-to person for ODP operations in Thailand
• Collaborate with other teams (eg. Customer Service, Fleet, Finance) to follow and if required, set up standard operating procedures

What you will need

• 1-2 years, Experience in management, operations, and leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Solid understanding of expansion and fleet management
• Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills
• Data analysis skills
• Background living and working in the express with an understanding of culture and lifestyles is a plus
• Experience in e-commerce or warehousing business would be nice to have
• Can work and communicate effectively with a diverse team.
• Can build professional relationships with junior and senior level Managers - Resolute in ensuring accountability and adherence to process across the organization
• Excellent Thai and English communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft's Excel or Google's Sheets will be a big advantage - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as a team
