Reporting to the Senior Manager - Safety and Security you should be a proactive individual with the people and technical skills to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.   

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Responsible for the development and implementation of workplace safety management system for REDMART Facilities which include Warehousing, Logistics and Office Environments in compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
• Develop safety related policy and standard operating procedures
• Provide advice to management, staff and students on workplace safety and health issues
• Conduct audits and inspections of Operational Processes and Facilities.
• Conduct investigations for all accidents and incidents
• Conduct safety training
• Manage a team of Safety leads who are on 24/7 roster.

Requirements:

• Graduate/Postgraduate qualifications in Physical Sciences, Engineering or Occupational Safety and Health
• Level C - Specialist Diploma in WSH, or equivalent
• Registered Fire Safety Manager (SCDF)
• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (MOM)
• May need to work on rotating shifts and weekends
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Medically and Physically fit, good team player with initiative
• Experience in Logistics and Warehousing will be advantageous
• Registered Environment Control Officer (ECO)
