Associate AI Product Manager - Candidate Quality

About the role

As an Associate AI Product Manager in SEEK's 'Candidate Quality' squad, you'll contribute to building AI-powered solutions that connect candidates with hirers across our global marketplace. Working within a cross-functional team of ~20 Data Scientists and AI Engineers, you'll report to the Principal AI Product Manager and collaborate closely with other AI Product Managers to develop, deploy, and enhance AI services for partners across Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia. Success in this role means effectively coordinating product delivery, establishing strong stakeholder relationships, and contributing to improved candidate-job matching through data-driven decision making and agile product ownership.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic planning by understanding customer needs, contributing to product roadmaps, and aligning on quarterly OKRs with squad leaders and partners
• Coordinate product delivery by managing partner team engagement, tracking dependencies and risks, and removing roadblocks to ensure smooth integration of new AI products and services
• Define and track success measures for AI products, working with partners and the Experiments team to coordinate experiments and interpret results
• Act as Agile product owner, establishing effective team processes and facilitating development team rituals to support continuous delivery
• Manage ongoing contracts and stakeholder relationships, providing regular updates through partner steering committees and AI showcases
• Frame complex problems and trade-offs in structured ways that enable robust decision-making across technical and business teams
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and AI Engineers to understand technical capabilities and contribute to solution design

Skills and experience

• Strong analytical problem-solving abilities with experience tackling complex, ambiguous challenges using data-driven approaches and the ability to break constraints to get things done
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders, including the ability to inspire and build deep understanding of problem domains
• Experience using data and analytics for decision-making, with demonstrated ability to coordinate experiments, interpret results, and apply findings to product development
• Agile product management experience or strong willingness to learn, including ability to act as product owner and establish effective development processes
• Commitment to continuous learning in AI, Product Management, and Strategy, with awareness of ethical and responsible AI principles in decision-making
• Pragmatic mindset with ability to make informed trade-offs, participate constructively in discussions, and maintain focus on delivering exceptional results for customers
