About the group

As the name suggests, this group is responsible for churning out a significant amount of GMV for Razorpay, close to 40%. This group consists of teams who are ready to work across the Tech and product stacks in Razorpay to meet their goals. This group consists of full stack teams and engineers who works closely among themselves and with the banking alliances to amend things and move them faster

This group works closely on 

• Value added projects with Banks, which helps us to get deeper into the Banking domain and build more sustainable relationships with the bank. The products require extensive security understanding and a good understanding of AWS and security constraints.
• Large merchant enablements which involves building custom products for large merchants who again act as a major GMV contributor
• Cross border transactions which involve both imports and exports for B2B and B2C. This product requires deep understanding of the existing problems businesses are facing in cross border transactions across the industry and build innovative solutions to solve them.

Job description

• Bootstrap few teams and products from 0-1
• Not only provide technical leadership to the team on major projects but also build and manage a team of 30+ top notch engineers and managers
• Create a clear career path for your managers and the team beneath. Nurture and grow them with regular and deep mentoring
• Contribute to product strategy, manage business goals and develop teams
• Work and collaborate with cross functional teams, business analysts, design, architects to plan and execute in agile way
• Operating with scale amid business needs and tech growth of the company. Ability to manage flux and keep things fluid as we ramp up on our journey
• Setup best practices for development and champion their adoption. Design robust and scalable solutions.
• Work on a model of performance evaluation and constant feedback to make the team and himself better. Work on a model of continuous improvement for all.

Role

• Excellent leadership skills to mentor the engineers under you.
• Deep understanding of technologies and architecture in a highly scalable and available set-up.
• Deep understanding & expertise with highly transactional, large relational and complex systems
• Superior project management skills to manage multi-engineer projects and experience of delivering high-quality projects on time
• Above 12+ years of experience with technical depth as well as good people skills
• A BE/BTech in Computer Science or some equivalent academic stance.
• Have spent 2+ years at a start-up or worked in a small and reasonably independent team/dev center
• Able to establish credibility with smart engineers quickly, and provide longer-term vision and motivation.
• Great people skills to closely work with other teams. Product Management, Business Development, and Operations, all need your expertise to ensure superior solutions match our scale of operations.
• Very high technical competence, strong technical background with a track record of individual technical accomplishments – Ability to play the role of the architect for the team
