Graduate Program Product Management - Supply Chain

TLDR

Own supply chain tech products end to end, using data, experiments, and analytics to improve automated fulfilment, ordering, routing, and operations.

Always wanted to build the systems behind one of Europe's most advanced supply chains? As part of this Graduate Program, you'll own part of Picnic's supply chain tech products from day one. You'll be end-to-end responsible for developing products that power our operations by understanding operational challenges, analyzing data, working with business teams, designing solutions with engineers, and validating impact through experiments and analytics. You're the one making it happen. The program at Picnic is one of the most ambitious tracks in the industry: from recent graduate to Product Manager.

Products in our Supply Chain vary from planning which customers will be delivered in the same trip to ordering the right amount of inbound. Or from operating automated fulfilment centers to our internal apps used by thousands of our operational colleagues. Wondering what problems you’ll work on? Think optimising how items are picked in our automated fulfilment center, decreasing waste by optimal ordering, designing a flow how we make sure coolpacks for chilled deliveries get back to the fulfilment center or integrating with robots to automate our operations even more.

What you'll be doing

Over 18 months you'll learn everything it takes to build a great product by actually doing it. You'll work alongside experienced product managers in our team. You will spend your program embedded deeply in one supply chain domain to see the long-term impact of your products, with options to expand scope into adjacent domains as you scale after 18 months. Every 3 months, you will reflect on your growth and define new learning goals with your mentor to grow you into the Product Manager role as fast as possible.

  • 0-6 months

You learn how to solve operational and internal user problems. From day one, you’ll help build features used by thousands of users, while getting to know our product end to end. To understand what to build, you’ll analyze operational processes through data analysis and interviews. Based on your learnings you’ll help shape new features.

  • 6-12 months

You build your first features from scratch. This is the first time you'll own the full product development lifecycle. With the help of an experienced Product Manager, you’ll scope a supply chain problem, shape the solution across design, engineering, data, and business. You’ll drive execution on your plan, ship to customers & see the direct impact of your work.

  • 12+ months

You own a product scope end to end. You decide what problems to solve and own the solutions: the research, the analyses, the designs, the stakeholders, the tech. You are in the lead and responsible for the outcome.

The Program

  • The launchpad to Product Manager. Learn everything there is about building product & become a PM twice as fast as the industry standard.
  • Ownership from day one. You’ll immediately work on improving our Supply Chain, alongside our experienced product teams. You’ll get to experience different scopes ranging from warehouse operations to ordering inbound and from optimal planning of deliveries and routing to our in-house built apps used by thousands of our operational colleagues.
  • Tangible impact: Every feature you ship is measured, so you'll see the exact impact of your decisions in real data. If it works, double down. If it doesn't, own it and iterate.
  • Mentorship: You'll have a dedicated mentor accelerating your growth. Your mentor will grow you as a Product Manager, and also be your guide into the domain. But most of what you learn, you learn by actually doing it.

Who are you

We’re looking for future leaders who are hungry to learn, eager to build, and passionate about our mission. You don’t need years of product management experience, but you do need to show us you have the raw talent and drive to succeed.

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field like Econometrics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar. Recent graduate or up to two years of professional experience.
  • Builder at heart. You've taken initiative and created something from scratch, whether that's a side project, a new idea, or your own startup.
  • Highly ambitious, natural curiosity and empathy for users. You want to understand, you're always asking "why", and you always think about how to make things better.
  • Go-getter personality. You're biased toward action and constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery.

Many strong candidates talk themselves out of applying because they don't tick every box. If this role excites you and you believe you have what it takes, apply.
This vacancy remains open, we hire throughout the year whenever we find the right match.
