About Zowie:
Zowie brings speed and empathy to customer interactions. Our platform automates responses to repetitive questions around return policy, order status, etc. (even 70%+), and makes customer service agents 1.5x more productive, so they can then proactively turn website visitors into paying customers. We believe that buying online can and should feel like walking into your favorite local shop: personal, friendly, and easy.
Having found a strong traction with our customers and observing a rapidly changing AI tech capabilities, Zowie is now seeking a dynamic and product-minded Backend Engineer to join our Product Lab Team.
What you'll do:
As a member of this team, you will be at the forefront of our product innovation efforts. Your primary mission will be to explore new product ideas in collaboration with our customers, striving to understand their needs and uncover business value for them.
The Product Lab Team at Zowie embodies the spirit of innovation and disruption and is led by one of our co-founders - Maciej Ciołek. You'd be working very closely with him. This is why our preference would be if you had the ability to visit our Warsaw office whenever high-bandwidth collaboration is needed.
Ideally, you'll bring with you:
- Product acumen, ownership, and focus on value delivered to customers
- 3+ years of experience with Java, Scala, or Node.js
- Excellent coding skills
- Willingness to engage with customers to understand their needs
- High proficiency in English
- High awareness of when good enough is better than perfect
- Proficiency in managing project scopes and shifting priorities
It will be awesome if you have experience with:
- NoSQL and SQL
- Kafka or other message brokers
- GraphQL
- Docker Swarm / Kubernetes
