Position Title: Burton Store Sales Associate 

Location: Niseko, Japan

Reports to: Burton Store Manager
Contract Term: TBC - November 2026 - March 2027 
Salary: ¥1,700 per hour, starting

The Role

As a Sales Associate at Burton Store Niseko, you will be the face of the brand, delivering outstanding customer service and helping guests find the right Burton products and equipment for their needs. Based in the heart of Hirafu, you will guide customers through the entire sales process, from welcoming them into the store and providing product advice to completing purchases at the register. You'll also assist with maintaining store presentation, keeping shelves stocked, and handling customer questions or concerns in a friendly and professional manner. By sharing your passion for snowboarding and the Burton brand, you'll help create a memorable experience for every guest who visits the store.

Key Responsibilities and Duties 

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience to every customer. 
• Meet or exceed store sales goals. 
• Develop strong product knowledge across snowboards, outerwear, apparel, and accessories. 
• Help customers find the right products based on their needs and ability level. 
• Support daily store operations including: 
  • Point-of-sale transactions 
  • Stock replenishment 
  • Inventory management 
  • Visual merchandising and displays 
  • General housekeeping and store presentation 

• Act as a brand ambassador by sharing Burton's story, products, culture, and passion for snowboarding.

• An understanding of snowboard culture and lifestyle
• A positive, can-do attitude and genuine interest in helping others
• Confidence in communicating with a wide range of people
• Flexibility to step in where needed and support your teammates
• Attention to detail and pride in keeping things clean and organized
