Business Development Manager (Japan)

€35.000 – €45.000 per year

TLDR

Own and grow a profitable partner portfolio, drive market-specific growth through campaigns, events, and cross-functional collaboration with autonomy and senior visibility.

About Us

We are a regulated multi-asset brokerage dedicated to serving retail and professional traders across global markets. As we continue to expand our footprint in Japan, we are looking for a driven and relationship-oriented professional to take full ownership of this exciting growth market.

About the Role

This is a high-impact, client-facing role that combines account management with proactive business development. As our Partner Relationship Manager for Japan, you will be the primary liaison between our company and a portfolio of Introducing Brokers (IBs) and affiliates — keeping partners engaged, productive, and growing. You'll play a key role in shaping our presence in the Japanese market with real autonomy and senior visibility.

What You'll Do

Partner Management

  • Serve as the trusted, day-to-day point of contact for partners, providing best-in-class service and resolving queries across onboarding, funding, and trading.
  • Keep partners informed of product updates, platform developments, and promotional opportunities to ensure they always have what they need to succeed.
  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with both current and prospective partners.

Business Development

  • Own and grow a profitable portfolio of partners — acquiring new partnerships, developing existing ones, and maintaining a healthy pipeline of prospects.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Japanese market, competitive landscape, and partner activity to inform strategy.
  • Design and execute market-specific growth plans, including collaborative campaigns with the marketing team and loyalty/incentive schemes.
  • Plan and participate in promotional events, client engagements, and business trips to deepen partner relationships.
  • Expand reach through modern acquisition channels relevant to Japan, including KOL/influencer partnerships and relevant social platforms.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with payments and compliance teams to ensure all partner onboarding and communications meet regulatory standards.
  • Leverage data, business insights, and reporting tools to drive measurable, results-oriented activity.

What We're Looking For

  • Native or near-native Japanese proficiency, along with strong professional English (written and spoken).
  • At least 3 years of experience in account management, client relations, partnerships, or business development within the financial trading industry.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and industry dynamics.
  • Strong commercial instincts with proven ability to manage relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable managing a pipeline independently.
  • An established network of IBs, affiliates, or trading communities in the Japanese market is a strong advantage.

(Nice to Have)

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements around marketing and client onboarding in Japan.
  • Knowledge of the local payments ecosystem (bank wire, e-wallets, crypto rails).
  • A relevant financial qualification or equivalent industry knowledge.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary plus a performance-based commission structure tied directly to your market's results.
  • The opportunity to own and build a key strategic market with genuine autonomy and impact.
  • A collaborative, international team spanning multiple jurisdictions.
  • A dynamic, fast-paced environment where your contributions are visible and valued.
  • On-site role in our Barcelona office — a vibrant, international environment where you'll be working at the heart of the action.

Ready to make your mark in one of our most exciting growth markets? We'd love to hear from you. Please submit your CV along with a brief note on your Japanese-market experience.
