Business Development Manager

We are looking for a Business Development Manager with a successful track record in B2B sales to generate new business leads and guide prospective clients through the sales process to closing. At the end of your first year, success in this position would be generating $800k in new business.

Our base compensation is $60-80k with on target earnings of $120-140k. Commission is 7.5% on new business. We offer residual commission for repeat business. This position is fully remote within the United States. We offer health, dental, and vision insurance and a 3% matching SIMPLE IRA program.

Responsibilities
  1. Design, implement, and manage a plan for lead generation and closing deals.
  2. Coordinate with the Content and Digital Marketing Manager to leverage marketing efforts that will generate high quality sales leads.
  3. Nurture relationships for long term business, triage all inquiries for interest in our services and ensure that prospective clients are an appropriate fit for SmartLogic services.
  4. Collaborate with the President and engineering team to create accurate and winning proposals.
  5. Transition projects to the engineering team after we close deals.

Requirements

  1. You have a demonstrable track record in B2B sales roles.
  2. You have experience in consultative sales and understand how to assess a prospective client’s needs in order to design the most appropriate solution.
  3. You have experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders in various industries.
  4. You have demonstrated experience in goal-setting, planning, and execution of business development processes.
  5. We prefer 3-5 years experience with increasing responsibility and measurable success in B2B software sales but we welcome candidates with relevant experience and a track record of success.
  6. You must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer.
