A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR ROLE

As a Business Development Representative, you will support sales growth by researching prospects, executing outbound sales activities, and converting interest into potential sales opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys high-volume outreach, CRM work, prospect research, and influencing decision-makers to take the next step.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

Outbound Sales Prospecting

  • Use sales technology, CRM tools, sales automation platforms, and approved communication channels to support a high-velocity sales process.
  • Conduct high-volume outbound calls, email outreach, sales cadences, targeted campaigns, and other prospecting activities.
  • Reach out to active, inactive, and potential customers to generate interest and identify sales opportunities.

Lead Generation and Appointment Setting

  • Generate and convert prospects from outbound activities and inquiries into potential sales opportunities.
  • Influence prospective clients to engage with the sales team, attend webinars, join events or roadshows, or continue a sales conversation that may lead to a won deal.
  • Set appointments and help move qualified prospects through the sales process.

Prospect Research and Database Management

  • Research prospects using approved channels and tools, including company databases, search engines, LinkedIn, and external databases.
  • Build and maintain prospect databases using available sales and research tools.
  • Keep prospect and customer information accurate, updated, and organized.

CRM and Sales Documentation

  • Manage data input for new and prospective clients.
  • Log all prospect communications accurately in the company’s CRM tools.
  • Maintain clean and reliable sales records to support pipeline visibility, follow-ups, and next steps.

A BIT ABOUT YOU

Must-Haves

  • At least 1 year of experience in a related sales, business development, lead generation, appointment setting, or outbound customer-facing role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to produce strong daily output without compromising work quality.
  • Able to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced working environment.
  • Strong attention to detail when managing prospect information, outreach activities, and CRM updates.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple prospects, follow-ups, and sales activities.
  • Ambitious, enthusiastic, and comfortable working cross-functionally with sales and support teams.

Good-to-Haves

  • Experience using Salesforce.
  • Experience using other CRM tools, sales automation platforms, or prospecting tools.
  • Background in B2B sales, software, lead generation, or appointment setting.
  • Experience with outbound calls, email outreach, sales cadences, and campaign-based prospecting.
  • Exposure to LinkedIn research, database building, or prospect list management.
