Business Development Representative
Ovation.io is a clinical informatics company providing operations software and data tools for next-generation precision diagnostic labs. Along the way, Ovation’s team has developed an unparalleled level of competency in this space with particular expertise in the fields of molecular diagnostics and clinical data utilization. Ovation is growing rapidly and is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our Sales organization.
The Business Development Representative will play a fundamental role in achieving Ovation’s ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. It is an exciting and strategic role that is key to helping us create a great first impression and win in our target market. You must be comfortable prospecting, generating interest, qualifying prospects and working alongside the Account Executive to create strategic plans for success.
We have offices in Portland, Maine; Cambridge, MA; and Indianapolis, IN. The BDR can be based in one of these locations or REMOTELY.
Responsibilities
- Source new sales opportunities through outbound sales prospecting
- Manage and qualify inbound lead follow-up
- Understand customer needs and requirements
- Work closely to with Account Executives to developed target account strategy
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
- Team with channel partners to build pipeline
Requirements
- Proven business development experience
- Track record of over-achieving quota
- Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
- Experience working with Hubspot or similar CRM
- Experience with Outreach.io or similar sales automation considered a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong listening and presentation skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- BA/BS degree or equivalent
