CFX Artist - Contract

TLDR

Develop Houdini-based cloth, hair, fur, feather and muscle simulations under VFX supervision for a TV project, with an initial 2-month contract and potential extension.

As a CFX Artist for REALTIME you will be responsible for simulating cloth, hair, fur, fabrics as well as muscle and skin deformation on one of our most ambitious TV based projects. Working closely with the our VFX Supervisor you will work to ensure various simulations fits across a number of scenes.

This contract would initially be for a 2 month period but there is also the possibility to extend from anywhere between 6-18 months!

Responsibilities:
● Set up and run Cloth, Hair, Fur, Feather and Muscles simulations within Houdini.
● Work together and under the direction of our VFX Supervisor.
● Communicate with artists across the studio in order to assess models and ensure readiness for simulation.
● Work within our animation pipeline.
● Work to production agreed timescales

Must have skills & qualities:

● Excellent knowledge of Houdini (ideally with experience/understanding of Vellum)
● Experience with Cloth, Fur, Feathers and Muscle simulations
● Be self motivated and be able to take on critical feedback,
● A solid understanding of the techniques and different tech within CFX simulation.
