ARCHIMED

Chief Financial Officer

TLDR

Steer financial strategy and performance for a PE-backed portfolio company, leading a seven-person finance team and driving transformation and growth.

ArchiMed is a healthcare-focused private equity firm investing across Europe, North America and Asia. We are currently recruiting a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for one of our portfolio companies.

As a key member of the Executive Committee (COMEX) and reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategic direction and driving financial performance. He/she will act as a trusted business partner to the leadership team and shareholders, contributing to the company's transformation, operational performance and long-term value creation.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in line with its business objectives and growth ambitions,
  • Lead the finance function — a team of seven across controlling and accounting — with oversight of treasury, tax, internal control and financial reporting,
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning and performance management,
  • Provide the analysis and recommendations supporting executive and board-level decisions,
  • Partner with business leaders to enhance operational performance, profitability and resource allocation,
  • Ensure effective cash flow management, capital structure optimisation and financing strategy,
  • Manage relationships with shareholders, investors, banks, auditors and external advisors,
  • Support strategic initiatives including transformation, international expansion, acquisitions and integrations,
  • Strengthen governance, financial processes, systems and business intelligence capabilities.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in corporate finance, controlling or FP&A, including in a Finance Director or CFO capacity; experience within a private equity-backed company will be highly valued,
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, performance management, financial modelling and corporate finance,
  • Proven track record of partnering with executive leadership teams on strategic and operational matters, and of leading transformation across systems, processes and people,
  • Hands-on: a lean finance team, where the CFO builds the model as well as presenting it,
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP systems and business intelligence solutions,
  • International experience is a plus; fluent English is essential. Reporting to shareholders and the board is conducted in English; additional languages are an asset.
