The Coordinator Inflight Catering Logistics is responsible for the overall Catering and Onboard Services at Breeze Airways. This role will be responsible for catering strategy, opening new catering stations, communicating catering needs, analyzing data as well as the Buy on Board program. This role will develop implementation plans and execute strategic projects, while controlling costs and meeting budget targets. This Leader will cross-collaborate and consensus-build with Airports, Inflight, Finance, Marketing, Executives, Business Partners, etc. and will need to quickly flex back and forth between strategic foundation-setting and vision, delivery of projects, and dive-in to help with tactical execution of all initiatives. This role is instrumental in achieving industry-leading results.

Here’s what you’ll do

  • Oversees the relationship, operational integrity, and compliance of Catering Business Partner.
  • With limited direction from leadership, facilitates the full-cycle catering operations audit process
  • A thorough understanding of large-scale food and beverage operations
  • Must maintain and develop a thorough understanding of the Business Partner agreements
  • Collaborate with Station Leaders and Business Partners to implement solutions based on audit findings and monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Develop, test, and deliver onboard innovations that lead to industry-leading results and drive Net Promoter Scores (NPS)
  • Partner with the Supervisor of Onboard Services to maintain Inflight Service Programs and Policies related to retail programs, inflight service, and catering operations
  • Partner and collaborate with the Director Inflight Services, the Manager of Onboard Service and Catering, and the Marketing team on all initiatives
  • Serve as the liaison and first point of contact with the Catering Business Partner
  • Focus on safety and security throughout the Onboard Service and Catering design and operations
  • Partner with the Catering Business Partner to create aircraft stowage and galley packing diagrams for both normal and surge operations
  • Partner with Inflight Service Leaders for base blitzes, new products, and test flights
  • Actively participate in daily operational calls, safety briefings and SRAs (Safety Risk Analysis)
  • Maintain awareness of company manual systems and various contents (Flight Attendant Manual, General Operations Manual, Station Operations Manual, etc.)
  • Track location and maintenance of catering equipment
  • Ensure that all Breeze regulatory standards and procedures are followed
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with operational and non-operational Team Members (e.g. Airport Stations, Flight Operations, Marketing, Finance, Safety, Security, Technical Operations, Crew Resources, Team Services, FAA, OSHA, and Business Partners) to ensure proper protocol adherence
  • Catering invoice approval and management
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Airways Core Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence
  • Other duties as assigned by the Inflight Services Director

Here’s what you need to be successful

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
  • 2+ years’ experience in quality assurance, internal audit/evaluation programs, catering operations, onboard retail, crew technology, menu design, product development, and project management
  • 1+ years’ experience as a Flight Attendant
  • Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) knowledge
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%)
  • Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must possess a valid passport

Preferred Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of catering operations and food processing/handling
  • Understanding of a Flight Attendant’s role and daily job duties
  • Knowledge of different airline disciplines
  • Experience driving innovation
  • Airport operations or station operations experience

  • Must have strong business acumen and excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills applicable to a diverse work group

  • Expected to think and act creatively to solve for constraints in the name of what is best for the Breeze Guests
  • Must be able to develop a vision, strategy, and objectives for their area of responsibilities
  • Ability to effectively manage and deliver on multiple competing priorities and projects at once within strict deadlines and with limited resources
  • Must be a self-starter, have a positive attitude, and possess a strong desire for success
