As our Corporate Counsel, you will negotiate structure, negotiate and execute corporate financings, strategic transactions and other critical commercial contracts for Redesign Health and support Redesign Health’s business teams as they scale to support our operating companies.

You will report to and work with the Deputy General Counsel, Katie O'Neill, at our New York City headquarters or remote.

What you'll do:

  • Lead Corporate Transactions
    • Structure, negotiate and execute financing vehicles that provide critical capital to our operating companies.
    • Manage complex strategic deals, including mergers, acquisitions, acquihires, and restructurings. 
    • Represent Redesign Health in a high volume of operating company financings (SAFE, convertible note, Series A and beyond). 
    • Select and manage outside counsel. 
  • Support our Platform Business Teams
    • Provide practical and strategic business-focused advice to all stakeholders, summarizing and socializing complex legal concepts for non-lawyers.
    • Serve as a dedicated resource for our strategy, finance and capital development team, supporting high priority capital allocation initiatives, debt financings, audit processes and all aspects of investor outreach and communications.
    • Assist other members of the legal team and other key Platform business teams on high priority projects as needs arise.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement in Legal Team Processes 
    • Design, build and improve the legal department’s processes and procedures with an emphasis on scalability, including driving continuous improvements, scalability and operational excellence in deal and financing processes.
    • Participate in the creation of playbooks and educational curricula for internal clients.
    • Manage and train junior attorneys in your areas of subject matter expertise.

What you'll need:

  • Background
    • 4-7 years of total experience
    • Minimum 6 years of relevant law experience in a major law firm or mid-sized technology company.
    • Minimum of 1+ years managing people
    • License to practice law in New York or California, or other states with major cities, with a willingness to become licensed in NY or CA.
