Gro’s AI research team works on long-term research projects that have product impact. You will be working in close collaboration with scientists and other engineers on practical applications of NLP.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct applied and fundamental research in knowledge graph representation, ontology matching, information extraction, and semantic search
- Collect and manipulate relevant data to perform analyses, construct methodologies, and formulate solutions
- Use ML and deep learning approaches to scale the process of annotating and labeling data.
- Apply and use recent large-scale NLP models (GPT3, BERT)
- Design and build NLP algorithms for semantic analysis, machine translation, and named-entity recognition
What we’re looking for
- University students (including recent graduates) studying for a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or a related technical field
- Strong python skills - particularly focused on;
- Complexities in relation to algorithms and data structure
- Modeling - especially with deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch or Tensorflow
- Ability to source, clean, and manipulate data
- Creative and passionate problem-solver
Application and interview process
- We are planning to advertise this role for one week - the deadline is 11:59PM EAT on Thursday May 5th
- Everyone who applies will be eligible to complete a take-home assignment. The assignment will be a good peek into the work that you will do during the internship - if you enjoy and excel at the assignment, we believe you are both a good fit and will enjoy an internship here at Gro. We will send this to you in the hours following the application deadline, and you will have 1 week to complete it
- Shortly following the submission deadline for the take-home assignment, we will contact successful candidates to arrange a screening call, followed by a technical interview & a short culture fit interview
This is a 10 week paid limited-term internship. It will run from June 6th 2022 to August 12th 2022
