Opportunity:

Will be participating in defining and establishing the security baseline of the company. Lots of learning opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Design, source and build security systems to establish the security baseline.
• Documenting security certification Identifying current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats
• Sourcing and implementing new security solutions to better protect the organization
• Conducting proactive research to analyze security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies
• Working on aggregating different sources of security events into SIEM Liaising with vendors to implement security solutions

Requirements:

• Required: Security, DevSecOps, SIEM
• Preferred: Splunk, Okta, IPS, IDS, TrendMicro DeepSecurity, JAMF Pro, ISO27001, NIST800
• Expertise across a variety of security products including firewalls, SIEM, URL filtering, information security and virus protection
• The commercial acumen to provide cost-effective security solutions
• An enthusiasm for staying up to date with the very latest updates about security threats and solutions
• Outstanding communication skills that go beyond “tech talk” – the ability to translate complex IT matters to those without an IT background
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Previous exposure to Linux Operating Systems, coding languages, and/or Networks.

Objectives:

In the first month, you’ll start off by learning the ropes. You will:

• Understanding the current state of security and compliance of the company. Understand the tools we are currently using.

Within 3 months, you will have gained confidence in the code and will:

• Start to build new tools and integrate into our current security systems.

Within 6 months, you’ll:

• Be able to manage certain security systems.
