DEI is a strategic priority for Change.org and now we are looking for a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Program Manager to contribute to this critical mission and take our organization and work to the next level. As a key member of our People Team,  you will be responsible for growing, integrating, and delivering our diversity, equity and inclusion plans across our team of over 100 people in 13 countries, balancing the need for localization within the framework of a global brand and organization. We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic team player with entrepreneurial spirit who can lead our diversity journey while retaining our creativity and grassroots orientation. 

You will be based in one of our offices in Asia, Latin America or Africa, and report to our Global People & Talent Lead, based in Turkey. You’re a perfect fit for this role if you are driven by the willingness to empower marginalised communities, both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Expanding our DEI plans  across the organization and all our operations, including building a culture that takes a holistic approach towards DEI.
  • Coordinating our internal DEI working group and our DEI efforts across teams globally.
  • Working to deepen staff knowledge on DEI principles, and training staff in implementing solutions to build safe and inclusive spaces for everyone.
  • Develop initiatives to improve staff belonging and safety, such as creating learning opportunities and forums for open dialogue and courageous conversations regarding cultural proficiencies in order to build an inclusive environment, managing ERG programs and partner with ERG groups to advocate and amplify their voices across the organization 
  • Tracking DEI data and reporting on organizational progress against key DEI metrics.
  • Building and managing fellowship and/or sponsorship programs for marginalised groups.
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned to you by the People Lead.

Experience:

The experience we’ll be looking out for, and which we think will be helpful coming into a role like this, are:

 

  • Professional experience with DEI, especially with cultural dynamics in global organizations, with demonstrated results.
  • Action-oriented, versatile and well-organized project management skills - to meet goals that aim to transform the organization in its pursuit of justice.
  • An effective cross-cultural communicator and influencer - who possesses great interpersonal skills to build solid connections with people of many backgrounds.
  • An empathetic and nimble facilitator - who works to build accessible, safe, welcoming and collaborative working environments in any situation.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles, and ability to create engaging training content.
