About the Role
ZOE is looking for an experienced Editor to join our Content team, reporting to the Editorial Director. This is a remote role within the U.K. The Editor will work on our SEO-focused content initiative that will aim to answer nutrition and health search queries and engage new consumers.
This is an exciting opportunity for an editor who possesses both copy editing and writing skills, and who can work with freelance writers and internal stakeholders to produce the best science-backed nutrition and health content out there.
Ideal candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in an editing role, familiarity with SEO best practices, writing experience, and a science background in health and/or nutrition.
This is a remote role and we will consider all applicants from the U.K.

Responsibilities:
- Keyword scoping
- Liaising with in-house science and nutrition team
- Working with freelance writers: assigning articles, training and giving feedback, enforcing deadlines
- Editing and producing content
- Working with creative team to produce infographics for our content
- Contributing to language strategy and style guide
- Tracking content through the editorial lifecycle
This role is for you if:
- You have 2-5 years’ experience editing digital content with an SEO focus
- You have knowledge of SEO best practices
- You have a science or nutrition background
- You have a firm understanding of AP style and grammar
- You have excellent writing and communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- You have experience editing American English
- You have experience working in a CMS
- You are data driven: familiar with analytics tools such as Google Analytics
- You have excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask
- You have the ability to work remotely
- You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively in a cross-functional environment
- You are passionate about nutrition. Bonus points for working previously with scientific or nutrition content
