An exciting job opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Electrical Technician to join DTE at a pivotal stage as we scale our production.
As part of our Delivery team, you will build advanced industrial systems that combine lasers, optics, robotics, automation, software, and real-time process measurement. These systems are delivered to major aluminum producers around the world.
You will play a key role throughout the delivery process, from assembling and wiring electrical cabinets to testing, upgrading, and servicing our systems at customer sites. You will help ensure that every system meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.

This role is based in Iceland and requires a valid Icelandic work permit.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Assemble equipment according to technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure quality and functionality prior to packaging.
- Maintain high standards of quality throughout the assembly and testing process.
- Prepare and package finished equipment for shipment to customers.
- Perform upgrades, rebuilds, and repairs at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety regulations, and applicable international standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and technical documentation.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
- Certified Electrician.
- 3–5 years of experience in electrical assembly or machine building for industrial or mechanical equipment.
- Experience with industrial control systems (PLCs) and industrial communication networks is an advantage.
- Experience in the aluminum, metals, manufacturing, robotics, machine building, or other heavy industrial sectors is considered an asset.

Experience with field service, equipment commissioning, or customer support is an advantage.

- Good computer literacy and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and documentation.
- Well organized and structured, with the ability to accurately document completed work.
- Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
