Electrician for Prototyping (human)

TLDR

Hands-on prototyping specialist building electromechanical systems, developing cable harnesses, and collaborating across hardware, software, and electronics to advance next-gen robotics.

Your Mission & Challenges

Prototype Assembly & System Integration

  • Build, integrate, and optimize electromechanical prototypes

  • Assemble subassemblies, sensors, and electronic components

  • Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities

Cable Harness Development & Manufacturing

  • Develop, build, and modify cable harnesses for prototypes and pre-series systems

  • Select suitable wires, cables, and connectors

  • Plan cable routing, shielding, and strain relief concepts

  • Manufacture and rework cable assemblies

  • Perform mechanical modification and processing of parts

Documentation & Quality

  • Create and maintain cable harness drawings, bills of materials, and assembly instructions

  • Ensure clean, consistent, and reproducible documentation

  • Follow quality standards and engineering best practices

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with electronics, mechanical, and software engineers

  • Support design reviews with a focus on wiring and manufacturability

  • Analyze and improve assembly and integration processes

What We Can Look Forward To

  • Vocational training in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable qualification

  • Experience in prototyping, cable harness manufacturing, or system integration

  • Strong skills in crimping, soldering, and cable assembly

  • Confidence working with schematics, technical drawings, and measurement equipment

  • Experience with connector systems, shielded cables, and cable routing

  • Basic knowledge of C/C++ is a plus and helps you collaborate effectively with development and software teams

  • Structured, precise working style and a strong hands-on mentality

  • Good English skills; German is a plus
