Electro Mechanical Technician
TLDR
Support and maintain medical devices in a clean room environment, executing calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on a variety of complex equipment.
- Provide support for equipment such as pneumatics, laser drills, label and inkjet printers, conveyors, corona surface treaters, induction tippers, balloon formers, vacuum formers, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Execute procedures for calibration, document their completion, and consistently complete all calibration verifications on schedule provided.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, document their completion, and consistently complete all preventive maintenance on schedule provided.
- Assist Engineering in fixture qualifications for new/existing equipment as required, including collection of data, and supporting design of new equipment or equipment modifications.
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Previous experience working with biomedical equipment
- Strong demonstrated "hands-on" ability to maintain mechanical and electrical systems and equipment
- Ability to work with diverse cultures and language barriers in a minimal English speaking environment
- Work Swing Shift Hours (3pm to 1am) Monday through Thursday
- Troubleshooting of complex systems
- Understanding of manufacturing processes
- Associate degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Applied Sciences, or related field
- Ability to interpret technical data like electronic circuit diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout production or lab environments for extended periods of time
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing diagnostics, programming, or documentation
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach to access equipment and components
- Ability to use hands and fingers for fine motor skills, including handling small parts, tools, wiring, and instrumentation
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40–50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to climb ladders or steps and work at varying heights, when required
- Ability to work in confined spaces or around machinery with moving parts
- Ability to see close and at distance, including distinguishing colors, reading schematics, and viewing displays
- Ability to hear and verbally communicate to understand instructions, alarms, and safety warnings
- Ability to work in environments with noise, vibration, or varying temperatures typical of manufacturing or technical workspaces
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, or protective footwear
