The Entry Level Network Staff at iboss are responsible for monitoring and maintaining our global data center ecosystems.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Managing and maintaining iboss monitoring systems
• Provisioning new points of presence or nodes within existing or new points of presence
• Responding to system and/or network faults to ensure internal and external SLAs are met
• Following escalation procedures to engage key resources to respond to critical events
• Proactively using forecasting and data trends to manage growth
• Working with internal stake holders (dev/ops, support, sales) and 3rd party vendors to schedule maintenance, request and/or create RFOs and remediation strategies
• Create and maintain documentation related to global points of presence and procedures

Required Qualifications:

• 1 Year of professional technical support or data center operations experience
• Proficient/Fluent written and verbal communication in English
• strong diagnostic/troubleshooting skillset
• RHEL and Debian Linux CLI experience
• Windows/Sysadmin experience
• Ability to assess and prioritize incidents quickly while under pressure
• Comprehensive understanding of the OSI model and internetworking

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or working towards a Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience with a variety of NMS technologies (Solarwinds, Cacti, Nagios, PRTG)
• Experience writing BASH scripts
• Some experience working with SNMP and extending SNMP
• Capability to multitask
• CCNA
