About the Role: Finance Manager (Mid to Senior Level)

We’ve built a successful business fast. Now that we have many enterprise customers & large sums of money flowing in/out, we need to understand, account for and then predict what’s happening at Taplytics. To do so, we are hiring a Finance Manager either at a mid or senior level to join our small but mighty professional finance team. In this role, you would be working closely with our COO and Co-Founder, Andrew Norris! You would be a key member to join our Finance group and the rest of the Back Office team that will support our high-growth company. How you’ll make a huge impact:

• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and own the underlying supporting budget models 
• Update budget models throughout the year and perform sensitivity analyses
• Monthly cash flow and revenue forecasting
• Help develop and report on Key Performance Indicators 
• Support a financial month-end close accounting process to result in accurate monthly reporting for key stakeholders (Board, senior management and financial partners)
• Assist the Controller with ad-hoc accounting tasks as well as investor reports for the Senior Leadership Team and the Board
• Support the year-end audit process with our external auditors including supporting schedules and documentation
• Complete and assist with any government filings as required
• Support  AP and AR processing where needed
• Work with our payroll partner (Humi) to manage payroll processing
• Develop and model commission plans with support from team leads and the rest of the finance team
• Assist in the completion of special projects and/or ad hoc projects throughout the business as required

What an incredible candidate looks like:

• Hold a CPA designation or have strong operational accounting skills developed in a high-growth environment
• A CPA specialization (Finance Module Option) would be an asset, but not required. Experience building your own financial model would be ideal
• Auditing experience with a top Accounting Firm or similar professional experience
• Canadian finance experience will be required, US finance experience would be a bonus
• For Senior Finance Managers: 1-3 years of corporate finance experience
• Technical aptitude in Xero (preferred) or another similar accounting system
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong understanding of ASPE (Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises)
• You are passionate about tech and preferably have experience with SaaS contracting terms and principles
• You are a DO-er: We need someone who not only thinks of ideas but implements them - we are a lean team and we all get our hands dirty together
• You bring solid organizational skills to maintain accurate and orderly records
• Desire to take ownership of projects and own deadlines
