Matrix is partnering with a fast growing early stage company (Series A funded) to hire a Finance Controller.

What does this role hold for you ? 

• Responsible for statutory financial accounting, including liaison with auditors.
• Business analysis for local and group management.
• Management and control of accounts receivable and payable, treasury and payroll.
• Responsible for all tax returns and tax planning matters.
• Monitoring the changing regulatory environment.
• Monitoring and developing internal controls and systems.
• Identify and support continuous changes and improvements within the business.
• Oversee the general accounting function, cash management and tax compliance.
• MIS: Prepare, analyze and present monthly MIS/Management reports to provide actionable inputs to the leadership team. 
• Preparation of Monthly Consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Reporting: Prepare standalone financial statements of the Indian entity as per Indian GAAP.
• Audit: Primary responsibility for interacting with statutory/tax international auditors and ensuring smooth completion of audits.
• Cash management: Track and report the company's fund position on a regular basis, preparing cash flow statements and analyzing actual against budgets.
• Banking: Manage relationships with banks for various services.
• Taxes: Ensure compliance with all Indian Indirect tax GST, Shops & Est, Customs) and SEZ regulations.
• Direct Tax and Labour law regulations.
• Overseeing the Payroll process & Preparation of GST returns. 

Apply if you are:

• A qualified Chartered Accountant with around 6-8 years of post-qualification experience
• Startup exposure is mandatory
• Experience is technology focused product company is a plus
• Business and solutions-oriented with a proven track record of managing change or establishing financial control systems.

• Must have the maturity to also discuss and deliberate on issues outside the Finance function, as a member of the Core Team
• Strong skills in stakeholder management and a very strong collaborative style of functioning. 
• Needs to drive a strong - customer-oriented- culture and forge excellent partnerships with all stakeholders.
