Finance Specialist

What you'll do

At Powerful Medical, we are building a global life-saving technology. Our certified product uses AI to diagnose cardiovascular diseases, the leading cause of death worldwide, by analyzing ECGs. More than 100,000 doctors around the world use our technology, over 2.5 million ECGs have been analyzed, and we're backed by leading European and US VCs.

We recently received FDA approval and secured a $45 million R&D grant. As we scale across multiple entities, our finance operations are growing. We run them the same way we build our product: with AI at the core.
We're looking for a Finance Specialist to own day-to-day finance operations from day one, work directly with our Finance Director, and automate anything that shouldn't be done by hand. 
Your role:

• Own payables: Process, review and verify invoices, receipts and payments end to end, coordinating corrections with internal teams and suppliers.
• Reconcile with AI: Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies, using AI tools and agents to speed up and error-check the process.
• Support multi-entity reporting: Help prepare financial reports for our Slovak and US entities, across currencies and reporting standards.
• Maintain financial records: Keep our records accurate and up to date so leadership can make decisions on numbers they trust.
• Be the point of contact: Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and clients on payments and financial transactions.
• Automate by default: Document and improve internal finance processes, building automations and, increasingly, AI agents that remove manual work for you and the team.
• Grow with the company: Take on broader finance and cross-entity work as our structure becomes more complex.

What you need

Your profile:

• Experience: 2+ years in finance, accounting or controlling, ideally at a Big 4 or advisory firm, or in a SaaS or multi-entity company.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related field.
• AI-native: Daily, hands-on use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or similar) and experience building automations or AI agents. This is a hard requirement.
• Tools: Advanced Excel and Google Sheets; Ramp, Payhawk, QuickBooks, KROS or Pohoda is a plus.
• Precision: High attention to detail with financial data, plus strong organization and time management.
• Languages: Fluent in Slovak and English, written and spoken.
• Ownership: A can-do, growth mindset and comfort working independently without micromanagement.

Monthly salary: from 2,000 EUR gross (depending on experience) + equity
