Multidisciplinary team designs and optimizes energy-efficient firmware for sensors and network components, influencing future hardware-software integration in a globally used product.

As a Firmware Engineer, you will work on the software that runs in our sensors, network components and other embedded systems. You will be involved in the full development cycle: from architecture and design to implementation, testing and optimization.

You will work in a multidisciplinary development team where hardware, firmware, software and product development collaborate closely. You will also have plenty of opportunity to contribute ideas on technical choices and the future development of our products.

Your responsibilities

  • Designing, developing and maintaining firmware for sensors and network components

  • Developing software primarily in C and Python

  • Working on energy-efficient embedded solutions

  • Implementing and optimizing wireless communication protocols

  • Developing software for bare-metal systems and RTOS platforms

  • Analyzing and solving complex technical challenges

  • Supporting testing, validation and quality improvements

  • Collaborating with hardware engineers, software developers, testers and product management

  • Contributing to architecture choices and future technical developments

Requirements

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a similar field

  • At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development

  • Strong knowledge of C

  • Experience with Python

  • Experience with low-power systems

  • Knowledge of wireless communication such as 802.15.4, Zigbee and Bluetooth

  • Experience with bare-metal development

  • Experience with FreeRTOS, Zephyr or Embedded Linux

  • Ability to read and understand electronic schematics

  • Experience with measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers

  • Experience with modern development and test environments is a plus

  • Good command of English
