Position Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional Director of GTM FP&A to lead the financial planning, analysis, and strategic guidance for our Go-To-Market organization as we scale into the next phase of our growth journey. This is a high-impact, high-visibility leadership role where you will serve as the primary financial partner to our Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Customer Officer, Chief Marketing Officer. You will build and scale world-class GTM financial planning processes, deliver data-driven insights that optimize our path to scale growth and help orchestrate our expansion across new markets and segments. You will lead a growing team and play a critical role in establishing the financial rigor and reporting infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Partnership: Serve as the trusted financial advisor to GTM leadership translating business objectives into financial insights and recommendations that drive decision-making and competitive advantage.
- GTM Planning & Forecasting: Own end-to-end financial planning for all GTM functions including Sales (enterprise, mid-market, channels), Marketing (demand generation, brand, product marketing), and Customer Success. Lead annual operating plan (AOP), long-range financial plan (LRP), and rolling forecast processes for the GTM function. Build sophisticated models for capacity planning, headcount optimization, and investment allocation.
- Performance Management & Metrics Mastery: Develop, track, and obsess over SaaS and GTM KPIs including ARR, Net Revenue Retention (NRR), Gross Retention Rate (GRR), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Customer Payback Period (CTS), Lifetime Value (LTV), CAC Payback, Magic Number, Sales Productivity, Pipeline generation, Conversion rates, and Customer Churn. Provide monthly and quarterly reporting with rigorous variance analysis, trend identification, and actionable recommendations.
- Sales Capacity & Productivity Modeling: Partner with RevOps to build and maintain highly detailed sales capacity models that inform headcount plans, quota setting, territory assignments, and compensation structures. Analyze and optimize sales productivity metrics at the rep, team, segment, and enterprise level. Partner with Revenue Operations to establish unit economics by channel and cohort.
- Investment Analysis & ROI: Evaluate the financial viability and return on investment of GTM initiatives including new market entry, competitive campaigns, channel expansion, customer acquisition programs, and technology investments. Build business cases and run scenario analysis to support resource allocation decisions.
- Scenario Planning & Strategic Insights: Develop sophisticated financial models to evaluate strategic scenarios (market expansion, product launches, M&A integration, pricing changes, economic downturns). Generate executive-ready insights that inform board conversations, investor updates, and long-term strategy.
- Systems & Process Excellence: Partner with the CFO org in implementing financial planning tools, dashboards, and workflows that enable fast, accurate decision-making. Work with Finance, Revenue Operations, and Data teams to develop automated reporting and establish single sources of truth.
Desired skills and experience:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Sales Finance, GTM Finance, or related roles, with at least 5+ years in dedicated GTM financial roles
- Deep exposure to high-growth B2B SaaS environments with experience scaling Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success organizations
- Track record of translating financial analysis into business impact - moving recommendations into action and measuring outcomes
- Cross-functional partnership mindset: ability to build trust with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance teams while maintaining objectivity
- Bias toward speed and action: comfortable with ambiguity and able to deliver insights on aggressive timelines while maintaining rigor
- Intellectual curiosity and growth mindset: passionate about learning new business domains, technologies, and financial methodologies.
- Mastery of SaaS financial models and metrics: ARR, NRR, GRR, CAC, LTV, CAC Payback Period, Magic Number, net dollar retention, and all key GTM KPIs
- Advanced financial modeling expertise: ability to build complex, dynamic models that support scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and what-if modeling
- Expert proficiency in financial planning tools (Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Pigment, NetSuite, Workday, or equivalent) and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Comfort with BI tools and dashboarding platforms (Tableau, Looker, Qlik, Power BI) to communicate insights
- Deep understanding of sales processes, pipeline architecture, deal structures, quota mechanics, and compensation plan design.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear, actionable insights
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; ability to collaborate and lead across different time zones
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA a plus
