Fraud Analyst

Job Summary
The Fraud Analyst is responsible for analyzing fraud patterns, identifying potential fraud triggers and risk signals, and supporting fraud investigations. The role will also review investigation reports to ensure that findings are accurate, evidence-based, and properly supported, and will recommend appropriate next steps to mitigate fraud risks.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze fraud patterns, trends, concentrations, and risk signals across customers, SAs, promoters, merchants, stores, and transactions.
Identify anomalies, unusual behaviors, linkages, and emerging fraud schemes through data analysis.
Monitor fraud triggers and indicators and recommend appropriate preventive and monitoring controls.
Conduct root-cause and concentration analysis to identify areas with elevated fraud risk.
Review and quality-check investigation reports for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and sufficiency of supporting evidence.
Identify gaps or inconsistencies in investigations and recommend additional evidence or investigative actions.
Assess investigation findings and recommend appropriate next steps, including further investigation, escalation, monitoring, corrective action, or disciplinary action.
Prepare fraud analysis reports and dashboards highlighting key trends, concentrations, risk areas, and emerging fraud signals.
Collaborate with the Investigation, Risk, Operations, Compliance, and other relevant teams on fraud-related matters.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Experience in fraud analytics, fraud investigation, risk management, audit, compliance, credit investigation, or financial services is preferred.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL, Power BI, or other data analytics tools is an advantage.
Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify patterns and inconsistencies.
Ability to interpret data, assess risk, and make sound recommendations.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
