Security Department

The Vantage Global Security (VGS) Department for Vantage Data Centers is very hands on. In most cases, we specify, purchase, configure and maintain all networking and server hardware. We also work closely with partner VARs to learn about the latest technology changes so that we can make informed purchase decisions. We are always looking for ways to strike the best balance between technology, performance, and cost. Vantage Security Department also participates in designing each of our new data center building’s security infrastructure. Essential Job Functions

• Monitor open-source and subscription based networks for new trends and changes to security and alert Global Security stakeholders.
• Develop a network of sources and contacts to support the development of useful information and context on issues that may impact the client’s interests.
• Support the protection of specific individuals within the enterprise through ad hoc briefings, awareness training, and monitoring programs.
• Complete projects as assigned including drafting, editing, and revising location assessments and analytical papers.
• Assist with research for white papers and strategic projects.
• Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, technology, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development within the organization.
• Create maps or other visuals to support the team’s products.
• Assist with investigations, social media monitoring, and crisis management logistics as needed.
• Assist Global Security in developing standard operating procedures.

 Duties

• Security travel management for all VDC Expats including ticket management requests, arranging and coordinating pre, during and post travel issue. Onboarding contractors and invoicing
• Manage the annual physical security penetration testing programme including assessment of all reposts, recommendations to policy / practice etc
• Manage all pre-sales and live site vulnerability, risk & threat analysis reports to inform site selection, site design and current SOPs based on detailed security assessment
• Provides technical support to end users and field labor when applicable.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

 Job Requirements

• Must possess the ability to quickly and effectively condense information into
• usable, actionable product for executives and other senior stakeholders.
• 5+ years in analytical, investigative, law enforcement, and/or executive protection
• Excellent critical thinking and open-source research skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to succinctly summarize
• and assess information.
• Experience working with highly confidential information.
• Provide 24/7 support. Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 50lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of weights above 50lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office 365
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
• Travel is expected to be less than 40%, but may be higher during construction projects
