Head of Merchandising

You are a leader of product strategy, assortment creation and brand growth with a passion for pop-culture. You have demonstrated experience developing merchandising strategies that balance brand vision, trends, business drivers and cultural relevance . You are a strong leader who loves to develop, focus and motivate team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong product sense with proven experience in driving product assortments and partnering with Design to conceive product assortments that drive business

  • Formulate proposals for range structure by collating and analysing best seller, attribute and market information together with new trend and design direction

  • Define seasonal core assortments and key launches, collaborate with teams to ensure 360 visibility across retail and e-commerce through campaigns, socials, trainings and visual merchandising.

  • Define permanent assortments and end-of-life strategy

  • Pilot online merchandising strategy in collaboration with e-Commerce team

  • Formulate and execute local merchandising strategies

  • Define prices in local currencies and ensure target positioning and margins are achieved across markets.

  • Build and lead collection presentations and buying strategy for E-commerce and Retail

  • Regular analysis of department performance to highlight commercial opportunities that dovetail effectively into the seasonal product direction

  • Strategic thinker who recognises opportunities and can influence decision-makers to move to execution 

  • Reports to the CEO 


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the Fashion or Beauty industry

  • 5+ years of successful experience as Merchandiser / Buyer / Product Manager with an expertise in Women’s Jewelry and Ready-to-Wear

  • Discerning eye for fashion, possessing a deep understanding and appreciation for current trends, styles, aesthetics and culture

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure consistency across all visual assets

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams 

  • Proficient in Excel

  • Living or willing to move to Lisbon, Portugal
