EquipmentShare is searching for a Head of Talent Management for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow. This position could be remote in the United States.
EquipmentShare is seeking a Head of Talent Management reports to the Director of Talent Management and Human Resources. In this role you will be responsible for designing and delivering company-wide talent solutions, insights, and programs that accelerate the success of EquipmentShare’s most valuable asset, our employees. This functional HR leader will introduce, and launch programs focussed on performance management, evaluation and coaching, retention, promotion, and succession planning.

Key Responsibilities:
- Foundation Building: This leader will need to assess the current state of talent processes across the organization and first create a stable foundation with which to build talent programs on. This includes job architecture, leveling guidelines, competency mapping, identifying critical development needs of managers, and enabling talent management functionality within our HRIS.
- Talent Flywheel: In this role you will be responsible for introducing concepts and practical application of talent management across the organization. In order to do this, processes must be dynamic and lightweight, and the intercepting elements of talent management should be thoughtfully tied together in a flywheel that promotes ease of understanding to your stakeholders.
- Organization Design and Span of Control: Evaluate current organizational design, recommend org design strategies and Span of Control parameters that allow the organization to scale through its people and optimize productivity.
- Performance Management and Promotions: Establish and maintain an effective performance management system. This includes developing and implementing performance evaluation processes, performance metrics, goal setting frameworks, processes for addressing poor performances, and streamlined promotion processes.
- Talent Reviews and Succession Planning: Work closely with HRBP peers, and PFO leadership to design end to end talent review processes, inclusive of: competencies and evaluation framework, rating scale, distribution curve, calibration process, training for managers, employee coaching and feedback, and eventual tie to succession planning for critical roles.
- Diversity and Inclusion (D&I): Ensure D&I strategies are embedded within Talent Management strategies, goals, and audit mechanisms. Champion D&I throughout the talent lifecycle including areas of direct influence (promotion, talent review, performance management) and indirect influence (recruiting, L&D).

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business/leadership experience in Business Administration, Program Management, Human Resource Management, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in talent management or related role
- 5+ years leadership experience in a fast paced environment
- Experience delivering quantifiable results in support of strategic programs
- In-depth knowledge across the employee life-cycle (talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, succession planning)
- Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems independently with an extreme attention to detail
- Passion for working with people, with a curiosity to dive deep into programs and processes, and lead transformative change
- High level of integrity, trust ,and confidentiality required
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive talent management decisions
- Self starter who thrives in a fast-paced and ever changing environment
- Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate and influence leaders at all levels
- Proficiency with or ability to learn Google Workspace (spreadsheets, documents, slides)
- Proficiency with or ability to learn Process Mapping software (Lucid, or similar)
- Potential for occasional travel (estimated 20%)
