Roles Purpose:
To partner with assigned stakeholders and hiring manager in Inventory. Work with the intent to continuously improve Redmart Inventory system, with the main objective of stock accuracy.
Key task and Responsibilities:
- Safeguards FC operations and contents by driving and enforcing H&S and security procedures and protocols
- Support Inventory manager in daily operations management, analysis and verification of reports
- Accountable for the Inventory team’s day-to-day performance and development by coaching, counseling, and disciplining; planning, monitoring, appraising job results and attracting and retaining of talents
- Communicate and work cohesively with the FC Operations team on daily reporting on progress with continuous improvement plans
- Ensures Kaizen, 5S methodologies and warehouse standards are maintained to the highest levels for all shifts at all times
- Review and update SOPs as required
- To participate in Operational Excellence initiatives; train staff to improve quality and productivity
- Ensure compliance throughout the FC and aligning with the set security, safety and operational standards
Attitude & behaviours critical to success:
- Hands-on attitude, flexible to work both multiple cold and dry warehouses
- Ability to manage 50 warehouse staff
- Be well versed with the RedMart culture codes and as a shift manager endorse and cultivate the same in his/her subordinates (warehouse staff, senior associates, supervisors)
- Proactive in looking for improvement changes
- Comfortable working with numbers
- Experience in managing perishable and non perishable inventory
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours a day
- Must be able to work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud
- Diploma holder in Logistics, Supply Chain preferably
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Warehouse environment
