IT Governance Director

We are currently looking for an IT Governance Director to join our team. As a member of a dynamic IT Department, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the IT governance framework and practices within an organization. This role ensures that the IT department operates in alignment with the overall business goals and objectives, complies with regulatory requirements, and follows established policies and procedures. The IT Governance Director provides strategic direction, leadership, and guidance to the IT governance team, and collaborates with other departments to establish and maintain effective IT governance practices across the organization.

What you will do

• Develop and implement IT governance policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Lead the development and maintenance of IT governance frameworks, including risk management, IT controls, and compliance.
• Provide strategic direction and guidance to senior management on IT governance matters, including IT strategy, risk management, and performance measurement.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT, legal, finance, and compliance, to ensure that IT governance requirements are met throughout the organization.
  
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of IT governance practices, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary changes to enhance governance effectiveness.
  
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during IT governance audits and assessments.

Requirements

• Strong academic background in relevant Information Technology subject or related equivalent work experience required. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC) are preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, compliance or it project management preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks, such as COBIT, ITIL, or ISO 27001.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex IT governance concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Experience in developing and implementing IT governance policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.
• Professional certifications related to IT governance, such as CISA, CISM, or CGEIT, are highly desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language
