Who We Are
AURA is a leading 24/7 emergency response marketplace. Our technology platform enables anyone to access the closest vetted private security and medical response unit to their location, anywhere, anytime, using any connected device.
Our vision is to create a world where everyone is safe. We do this by making emergency services more accessible, inclusive, and effective through cutting-edge technology.
Who You Are
You are an experienced, pragmatic IT professional who thrives on taking full ownership of a modern IT operations function.
You are comfortable in a cloud-first environment where most tools are browser-based, and you know how to design simple, scalable systems for identity management, onboarding, and device control. You don't just close tickets; you build systems that reduce support overhead over time.
Whether you are configuring device policies, troubleshooting a network switch, or automating an onboarding workflow, you balance hands-on execution with global process design.
What You'll Do
1. IT Operations & Support
- Own the Function: Act as the primary, go-to point of contact for all internal IT matters globally.
- Always-On Readiness: As AURA operates a 24/7 platform, you'l support on-call rotations, escalation paths, after-hours coverage so critical IT issues can be resolved outside standard business hours.
- Build the Desk: Establish, manage, and optimise a lightweight, highly responsive IT support function on a modern service-desk platform.
2. Identity, Access & Lifecycle Management
- Seamless Lifecycles: Own and automate the end-to-end joiner, mover, and leaver (JML) processes to minimise manual setup.
- Access Control: Administer our cloud identity and collaboration suite, managing group-based permissions to ensure secure, reliable, and auditable access to company systems.
3. Device & Endpoint Management
- MDM Strategy: Lead our mobile device management strategy across a mixed Mac and Windows fleet, selecting and operating a modern, lightweight MDM solution.
- Lifecycle & Compliance: Oversee device provisioning, tracking, recovery, and security compliance using enterprise endpoint security tooling.
4. Security, Compliance & Infrastructure
- Keep Us Secure: Partner closely with our Information Security Officer to enforce device policies and support security audits using a compliance-automation platform.
- Office & Vendor Management: Manage external IT vendors, ISP contracts, and hardware procurement. Keep our physical office infrastructure (Wi-Fi, networking, meeting rooms) running smoothly.
Skills & Experience We Are Looking For
- Experience: 4 to 6+ years in IT Operations, Workplace Technology, or a similar systems administration role.
- Modern Identity: Proven hands-on experience managing cloud identity/access suites (e.g. Google Workspace, Okta, or Entra ID).
- MDM Expertise: Practical experience enrolling and managing fleets via modern MDM tools (e.g. Jamf, Intune, Kandji).
- Endpoint Security: Hands-on experience with endpoint protection / EDR tooling, including deployment, policy configuration, monitoring alerts, and remediating compromised or non-compliant devices.
- IT Fundamentals: Solid grounding in day-to-day IT operations, including directory services (Active Directory / Entra ID), patch and update management across Mac and Windows, and support for printers, peripherals, and shared office hardware.
- Distributed Teams: Experience supporting distributed, multi-country teams across different time zones.
- Infrastructure Basics: Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, routing, switches, firewalls) to troubleshoot office setups and guide local vendors.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills. You can translate complex technical requirements into simple steps for non-technical team members.
What's In It For You?
- Impact: You will help shape our global IT footprint, influence tooling choices, and define our IT roadmap.
- Purpose-Driven Work: Your work directly supports a platform saving lives daily.
