WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

At SimCorp, we help some of the world’s largest financial institutions simplify their investments, accounting, and operational processes. We’re looking for Lead Automation Tester to join our Warsaw team in the Testing Services Delivery Unit – cross-located teams that deliver high-quality testing services embedded in Configuration and Upgrade projects within Global Managed Services. 

In this role, you will investigate complex business requirements, design and execute test cases, and support incident management and reporting of test results. 

WHAT WE VALUE

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing and test automation

  • Practical programming experience, primarily in C# or strong tech‑savviness 

  • Scripting experience (e.g., Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell)

  • Strong knowledge of UI and Web API test automation frameworks

  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and Insomnia

  • Experience with version control workflows, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews (Git)

  • Understanding BDD principles and ability to write and maintain test scenarios (Gherkin, SpecFlow/Reqnroll)

  • Hands-on experience using regular expressions (Regex) for test data validation, pattern matching, and log analysis

  • Practical knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) 

  • Strong analytical judgment and translating complexity into clear direction 

  • Openness for collaboration and knowledge‑sharing  

  • Focusing on continuous improvement with a growth‑oriented, forward‑looking mindset

  • Adapting easily to change and operates with flexibility in dynamic environments  

  • Communicating with clarity, authority, and strong consulting presence 

  • Experience working in an Agile environment with Agile project management tools. 

  • Domain knowledge in investment banking and accounting highly welcome

  • Educational background in Computer Science, STEM, Finance, or a related field

  • Fluency in English (min. B2+ or C1) 

Nice to have

  • Azure DevOps. 

  • Understanding the application development lifecycle. 

  • Experience creating and maintaining test plans. 

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Our hiring process can include several stages.  

Initial conversation with Talent Acquisition Partner.  Technical interview.  Feedback and final offer.  Onboarding: during your first month, you’ll participate in the SimCorp Product Learning Academy, concluded with an exam.
