About Cuemath

We are a young math learning start-up that is charting new routes in the domain of mathematics education. Going beyond the traditional focus on mathematical concepts, Cuemath takes a wider approach in introducing students to the real world of mathematics. This includes an immersive development of logical reasoning and an inquiry-based approach tailored towards building mathematical aptitude.

There is a stark difference in the mathematics that is typically taught in schools and the real world mathematics which is often described as the most beautiful language we know. Cuemath’s mission is to reveal this beauty of mathematics to young school students thus helping them develop a holistic understanding of mathematics and mathematical thinking.

We are looking for people who share our vision, are passionate about mathematics education and have the potential to become thought leaders in the field.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Cuemath learning system is designed to build holistic math understanding. It focusses on

• deep conceptual learning of school math concepts,
• practising skills that develop cognitive agility, and
• out-of-the-box problem solving through mathematical puzzles.

As a Lead Curriculum Designer, you will influence and guide the evolution of at least one of the aspects listed above. You role will include,

• taking end-to-end ownership of one of the aspects of the learning system
• exploring new and engaging ways of building and delivering the learning objectives
• conducting impact analysis regularly to monitor the effectiveness of the learning system
• managing a small team of motivated and highly skilled curriculum developers.

Skills and Qualifications

You must have,

• a thorough understanding of maths concepts up to a graduation level
• a strong understanding of the constructivist and inquiry-based pedagogy
• strong logical and analytical reasoning
• strong written as well as oral English communication skills
• ability to give as well as receive constructive feedback
• ability to lead a highly collaborative and non-hierarchical team
• ability to manage a project and work within tight deadlines

Education qualifications:

• A master’s degree (or higher) in mathematics or similar numerate discipline
• An education degree while not mandatory will be preferred

Work experience:

• Minimum five years’ experience of which at least three years must include teaching school maths or developing learning resources
• Experience leading a team of content developers while not mandatory will be preferred

Application and Selection Process

On application you will have a first round of interaction with one of the Curriculum leads. This will be followed by an assignment that will be shared over email. Once you submit the assignment you will have two follow-up rounds and one HR round.
