Lead Software Engineer - QA
TLDR
Develops and advances automated regression test infrastructure to enable precise, robust tests in simulator and logs, shaping core QA tooling in a startup robotics environment.
Your role
At Zoox, you’ll collaborate with a team of world-class engineers with diverse backgrounds in areas such as AI, robotics, mechatronics, planning, machine learning, controls, localization, computer vision, rendering, simulation, distributed computing, design and automated testing. You will be responsible for designing and implementing key portions of our automated regression test infrastructure. This is not a testing job - your focus will be on developing code and systems to allow our testers to create extremely precise, thorough, and robust automated tests in our simulator and from logs. We want it to be quick, easy, and even fun to create extremely powerful automated tests, and your work will get us to that point. Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or related field
- Fluency in C / C++
- Experience with Unix systems
- Experience building test systems or automated regression test suites
- Extensive experience with programming and algorithm design
- Experience with OpenGL

- Experience handling large data sets
- Experience with web development
- Strong math, statistics, or machine learning background
