Lead Solidity Engineer

MadProductions is an open-source cryptographic blockchain company building a Layer2 Ethereum chain meant to power applications looking to leverage a modern identity validation platform. MadProduction's MadNetwork will allow for the mining of MadBytes and minting of MadTokens which need to be managed through an accessible user interface. Validators within the system will also need the ability to act within governance which needs to be easily actioned. We also need to make sure we are able to engage with the crypto community to share and educate users about our exciting new technologies.

We are looking for an engineer looking to build greater capabilities into our chain through the introduction of a wider set of smart contracts. We are looking to enable our current roadmap as well as open doors for developers looking to take advantage of an efficient, secure and cost effective chain.  Responsibilities:

  • Writing smart contracts in solidity and managing a burgeoning DeFi chain
  • Integrating with a software development team and working closely with a technical project manager
  • Conducting technical due diligence and understanding dynamics/tradeoffs between different blockchain protocols
  • Developing new capabilities into the chain by introducing a diverse set of smart contracts
  • Lead a group of solidity developers, providing guidance and acting as a facilitator of knowledge

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of software engineering
  • 2+ years of Solidity smart contract development experience
  • Experience deploying dapps or smart contracts on Ethereum or EVM compatible solutions.
  • Smart contract dev tools/frameworks - hardhat and truffle
  • Depth of knowledge and implementation experience
  • CI/CD setup experience
  • High quality testing standards
  • Good documentation practices

Bonus points:

  • Passion about what decentralization technology can offer to humanity
  • Insatiable curiosity of the industry; self-motivated to pursue researching every new idea that floats across the industry
  • Ability to explain abstract technical concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Experience with Front End (Web3.js/Ethers.js)
  • Containers and orchestration; Docker, Gitlab CI, Kubernetes
  • CI/CD environments

MadProductions are headquartered in Columbus, OH, but this role can be fully remote anywhere in the US.
