Leave of Absence (LOA) Coordinator (Remote)
- The Leave of Absence Coordinator will be the first point of contact for any leave inquiries.
- Assist employees with all available leave of absence programs including short-term disability, long-term disability, medical, family, and parental leave, individual state Family and Medical Leave Act laws, and Federal FMLA.
- Serve as point of contact for ADA requirements, reporting, and accommodation requests.
- Ensure that employees are aware of their responsibilities and of documentation and notice requirements in the process of qualifying for and taking leave.
- Timely review and resolve any concerns related to leave.
- Ensure that leave and accommodation request records are complete and accurately maintained.
- Update digital and manual tracking system.
- Give timely responses to employees and clients.
- Coordinate with payroll and benefits teams to provide applicable leave information and tracking.
- Preserves confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files.
- Daily monitoring of Leave of Absence requests and related tasks, working closely with the employee and client to coordinate leave and return to work process.
- Communicates with internal staff, where appropriate, for escalations or assistance with complex situations.
Requirements
- Accustomed to working with clients, brokers, and third-party vendors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
- Must be adaptable to change in a growing organization.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Leave management experience preferred.
- Experience in working with multiple benefits/payroll platforms preferred.
